Roberta Kelly

Disco singer recorded "Troublemaker" in 1976; this original recording got her noticed on disco floors. Written by Giorgio Moroder and Pete Belotte (who produced & wrote most famously for Donna Summer), it's a true disco classic with its bouncy bassline and funky violins. From the same album, listen for "Think I'm gonna break someone's heart tonight".

As the Oasis sub-label of Casablanca folded in late 1976, Roberta moved to the main Casablanca outlet for her second album. "Zodiac lady" was even more popular than "Troublemaker", producing the disco classic title track "Zodiacs" and, amongst others, "I'm Sagittarius" and "Sunburst".

Her third album is to be avoided.

"Zodiacs" is available on 12" on Canadian Casablanca, but not US 12". There is no 12" of "Troublemaker".
