Meco

Meco Monardo first arranged early disco hits like Gloria Gaynor's "Never can say goodbye". He then began to take film scores from the late 1970's and turn them into charting disco singles. The most famous was the platinum selling single from Star Wars, which made the US Billboard #1 in the pop charts. For the best disco bassline ever, listen for "Wonder boy" from the Superman album...

Meco also produced several acts on the Roulette label, including Caress. His tune "Meco's theme" was used in the film "Thank God it's Friday", although was not contained on the soundtrack album.
