Patti LaBelle

Female vocalist LaBelle's hit disco-soul single of 1975, "Lady Marmalade", was written by Kenny Nolan (of Disco Tex and the Sex-o-lettes). Song is also known by its subtitle, "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir".

LaBelle recorded using her full name after 1976. In this period, she continued having big disco hits, with tracks like "Music is my way of life" and the high-BPM disco madness of "Eyes in the back of my head".
