Jumbo

Giorgio Moroder inspired beat, Barry White inspired vocals. This mid 1970's disco band recorded "Turn on to love" very much in the style of Donna Summer's "Love to love you baby" in 1976 - an early Prelude release. This first LP also includes "Saturday" and "Everybody dance"

Jumbo were Charles Orieux and Ingo Cramer and occasionally featured Thor Baldursson (Gaz) on keyboards. Their second album includes "City Girls", "Copacabana" (not the Barry Manilow song) and the excellent "He stole my heart" (the follow-up to "Turn on to love". This album was never released in the US but was available on Canadian Hansa or UK Pye.

"I can't get over you" from this album was covered by Star City on TK Disco records.

Jumbo came back on Atlantic in 1980 with funky dance classic "Take it light".
