Joe Tex

Popular in the 1960's as a soul singer on Dial label before breaking into the disco market in 1976 with "Ain't gonna bump no more (with no big fat woman)". It was a huge international smash and spawned a range of copies (including by Bobby Marchan - "I wanna bump (with the big fat woman)"). Further disco successes to listen for are "I almost got to heaven once", "Rub down" and the fabulous "Discomonia" - dig that bassline baby.
