George McCrae

Pleasant, sweetly soulful "Rock your baby" was huge international smash - many say it was the first commercially successful disco single. All George's hits are arranged and produced by Casey and Finch (of KC & the Sunshine Band). Apart from "I get lifted", George's US success finished here - but in the UK his initial hit led to a long string of charting singles. For real disco music, though, listen to his later T.K. Disco releases like "Kiss me" and "Let's dance" - a great bit of T.K. disco.

T.K. was initially distributed by Jay Boy in the UK. "I get lifted" was covered as a rare-groove track by Sweet Music.
