The Earls

A rather funky soul and disco group who made a brief impact in the mid 1970's. "Get on up and dance", also called "The Continental", is a very funky, danceable disco track with a strong, earthy bassline. Look out for the 12" of this (the first 12" on the Woodbury label). The b-side, "Love epidemic", is a cover of the Trammps track - written by Norman Harris, and sounding a lot more Philly. "Tonight could be the night" is another Philadelphia inspired track; the b-side to this record - "Meditation" - is a much more bouncy disco number (this is the second 12" on Woodbury).

Get on up and dance the continental / Love epidemic (Woodbury 12" D 1000, 1976) Tonight (could be the night) / Meditation (Woodbury 12" 12-1001, 1977)
