Disco Sound of Andre Gagnon
French-Canadian Andre Gagnon came early into the Canadian disco scene in 1975
with his disco instrumental "Wow". It's a great tune with a nice
rhythm, strong bassline and splashing wah-wah guitars. The follow-up hit was
"Surprise", another disco track with a similar theme. These two tracks
were pressed onto a double-A sided 12" single which was only the second
ever 12" on the London label.
Andre came back onto the disco scene with "Donna", although it
failed to make the same impact as "Wow".
