Charo

Female Spanish TV personality Charo's 1977 disco hit "Dance a little bit closer" was heavily latin influenced and backed by The Salsoul Orchestra. She also scored more minor disco hits on the Salsoul label with her Christmas hit "Donde esta Santa Claus" (one of only two Salsoul 12" from the 1970's to have a picture cover) and "Ole ole" (on pink vinyl and written by John Davis).

"Dance a little bit closer" and "Donde esta Santa Claus" are mixed by Tom Moulton and mastered by Jose Rodriguez.

Collectors note: the "New John Davis mix" of "Ole ole" on 12" (catalogue number SG 202X) is on black vinyl and is one-sided - it's quite a rare record.

Some copies of the LP "Charo and the Salsoul Orchestra" are entitled "Cuchi cuchi".
