Atlantic Starr
Signed to Herp Alpert and Gap Mangione's A&M label in 1978, Atlantic Starr
were produced by guitarist Bobby Eli (of Eli's
Second Coming). A few minor disco hits followed, including "Don't abuse
my love" and "Kissin' power". Amazingly, Atlantic Starr survived
the death of in thge early 1980's fairly well, and continued recording (their
biggest hit was 1985's "Circles").
