Mayor Pinball Clemens announces intention to run for mayor
27/08/03 - Mike "Pinball" Clemons has officially announced his intention to run for the Mayor's office of Toronto.
The Announcement was made on live television, with Pinball appearing in his old Argonauts #31 jersey.

"I felt as if now was the time for me to make a difference." Clemons said during a conference call from his office in the Skydome. "I woke up this morning and said, this city deserves some leadership."

"Pinball" started early, slamming current Mayor Mel Lastman. "He doesn't even have a number. How can you trust someone without a number?" Clemons then went on to state that anyone without a championship is obviously unqualified to lead a major city. "Toronto is a city of champions. I won the Grey Cup once."

Early polls have showed that 21% of Torontonians support Clemons, 16 are in favour of Lastman and that 100% of Chinatown has no idea who either of the two candidates are.

However, Pinball still has time to win over a clear majority as an election has not yet been called. Mayor Lastman declined comment when contacted.
