Spring Training Game 5: Twins 5 at Blue Jays 6—FINAL

Game Time: 2:37 —Attendance: 3,668

PROPS TO:

Props:

* Johan Santana- Picking up pretty much where he left off pitching two good innings, giving up only one hit.

*J.C. Romero- He came in for two innings, gave up a few hits but got the job done. Much improved from what he has been doing.

* Jason Tyner- Had an offensive day, going 2-3 for the day with a stolen base.

* Gabe Gross – A home run in the 7th inning gives the Jays the go ahead run and than in the 9th was able to draw the walk which would lead to the win for the Jays.

*Jays pitching – They kept the Jays in the game, no one really stands out since they had something like 8 pitchers for the game. But they had enough to keep them close enough, the only not so good stuff came in the 9th inning.

FLOPS TO:

*J.D. Durbin – The 4th inning was horrible. Started off with a pair of doubles and than two wild pitches. On the second wild pitch that went to the back stop he stood on the mound and watched Koskie come in and score. It sounds as if he would have been there Koskie would have been out, turns into a key play in the game especially when the Jays win by one run. He also managed to walks two guys and give up another double in the inning.

*Louis Rodriguez- Even though he made a nice play he got the top of the ninth started off with an error or at least threw it away. Than on the taper down the line off of Rios he couldn’t make the play at home, not sure how playable it was, but heck, it tied the game, so here is a flop.

*Sammy Sosa – I know he wasn’t in this game, but he got tossed from a spring training game. He got thrown out of a spring training game! What is wrong with you man?
