What is this umpire blacklist? There are 68 umpires in MLB. Most of them the fans don't take notice to. The best umps are most likely unknown to fans, as they are not part of the post game discussions. There are some though, that are, and not because they called a great game.

They do something that sticks out and causes us fans to look in the box score to see who the umpire was that messed up the call. I do realize that they are human, and mistakes happen, but there are some mistakes that you just don't do. When those are made, you end up on the Umpire Blacklist.
