Game 1 of 3: Indians 4 vs. Twins 2 FINAL

Game Time: 3:09 Attendance: 16,919
WP: Westbrook (1-5); LP: Mays (1-1); SV: Wickman (6)

PROPS TO:

*Jake Westbrook - Pitched 6 good innings giving up 8 hits, 2 runs, both earned walking one and striking out 3. He has been a victim of not getting run support this year, he got some and ran with it to get his first win of the season.

*Terry Mulholland - Pitch two innings allowing one hit and walking one. Kept the Twins in the game.

* Travis Hafner - Only went 1-4 on the night but the one hit was a big one, a two run home run in the first to put the Tribe on the board first, this was a difference in the game.

*Casey Blake - Homered in the second inning to make it 3-0. Also drew 3 walks on the night.

* Justin Morneau - Homered in the second inning to put the Twins on the board. The opposite home run was the only hit he would get but it was a home run. He also drew a walk to load the bases.

*Michael Cuddyer - Went 3-4 and scored the other Twins run.

*Joe Mauer - Went 2-4, one of them a big hit driving in Cuddyer with 2 out.

FLOPS TO:

*Joe Mays - Got out of some big jams but got his team down early by giving up a first inning two run home run. Followed by a second inning where he gave up two more runs. Only 3 of the runs were earned, but we needed a little better from Mays.

*J.C. Romero - Came on and got two outs but walked two, making for the possibility of more Indian runs.

*Nick Punto and Jason Bartlett - Both went hitless on the night, leaving a combined 5 guys on base.

*Mathew LeCroy - Struck out with the game on the line again, second game LeCroy has been asked to win the game and has not been able to do it.
