Game 2 of 2: Twins 1 @ White Sox 3 FINAL

Game Time: 2:40 Attendance: 18,310
WP: Hernandez (2-1); LP: Radke (1-3); SV: Marte (1)

PROPS TO:

* Brad Radke - Went the distance, going 8 innings, giving up 11 hits, but only 3 runs, no walks and 5 punchouts. He gave the Twins the entire game to get some offense going, as we were in it the whole time. Once again the offense let him down, and he gets hung with the loss. One positive about this outing: Brad pitched a scoreless 1st inning. That had to make him feel good too. And, he didn't walk anybody.

* Shannon Stewart - For the second consecutive game, he contributed 3 hits, and got his first stolen base of the season. He also scored the only run in the game for the Twins. With his 6 hits in the series, he raises his season average to .283. I wasnt too worried about Stewart, a career .300+ hitter. His hits will keep coming.

* Jacque Jones - My other fave Twin contributed 3 hits as well, raising his average to .400.

* Lew Ford & Terry Tiffee - Each contributing 2 hits.

* Torii Hunter - Staying aggressive on the basepaths, getting his 6th stolen base. I dont think hes been caught yet. He went 1-4 in the game.

* Orlando Hernandez - For the second time this season, he kept the Twins offense in check, going 6 innings. Despite giving up 10 hits, he didnt allow a run.

* Tadahito Iguchi, Paul Konerko, A.J. Pierzynski, Joe Crede - Each having 2 hits in the game for the Sox, with Konerko hitting his major-league leading 7th home run.

FLOPS TO:

* Twins offense - For the third straight time, the offense gets a flop. How can you bang out 23 hits in the series (14 in this game), and only score 5 times (only once in this game)? Were getting hits, but theyre not timely ones. Funny how we only got 3 hits in the series opener at Cleveland, yet we walked away with a win. Why? Because those hits were timely ones. Were banging out all these other hits, but to no avail. Id almost rather see a solo homer than them loading the bases. Why? Because well at least score once on the homer. Ugh...the offense has really been bugging me. We go 14-38 (.368) in the game yet we only score once? Pathetic, just pathetic.

* Carl Everett - Monday nights offensive hero gets shut down tonight, going 0-4 with 3 strikeouts. Ouch!
