Thus, in 2002, was born the 5 sides to every story, and more recent was the revelation that hearers have the equal opportunity to misinterpret things they are told so that makes it the Six sides to EVERY story:
What a person sees
What a person thinks they saw
What a person remembers they saw
What a person reports they saw
What the receiver of the report understands it to be saying
and What really happened
