Denise Gentile entered acting while at school. She later moved to Los Angeles and soon secured a role in the television series, Santa Barbara, where she portrayed Vance/Vanessa DeFranco, an interesting role that required Denise to dress as a woman and then a man, keeping both in their specific characters, no easy task, but she handled it in an expert fashion.

Denise is noteworthy for her portrayal as Lise Hampton-Edgars in the excellent science fiction series, Babylon 5, where she appeared in a respectable 10 episodes. The superb writing of series creator and writer, Joe Straczynski, allowed Denise to act to her potential. Mr. Straczynski is one of the few writers that can write convincing roles for women that are vibrant and alive.

Ms. Gentile mentioned that it was very easy and enjoyable to work with the B5 cast, particularly, Jerry Doyle (Michael Garibaldi) and Efrem Zimbalist Jr. (William Edgars).

We look forward to seeing this actor in more roles that can showcase her talent.
