Due to lack of funding and the increased cost seeking to be imposed on the club iitself to maintain the pitch Franklands Village FC reluctantly voluntarily withdrew from the Sussex County Football League. This decision was also forced upon the club by the new stringent ground grading regulations laid down by the League which prevented the club in continuing to run a reserve side. The club will play in Division 1 of the Mid Susex League for 2004/05 and based at Whitemans Green Cuckfield.
