Kuschnereit's Newsletter 2006-07

We did not send out a newsletter with our Christmas cards last Dec so here is last year's news and 07 so far.

Glenda and I went on a cruise last March and visited the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. We also went sailing on a 50’ catamaran and went snorkeling on the reef. We have a 24’ sailboat that we sail on the Ottawa river but it does not compare to sailing on the Caribbean.

Kristin(23) joined us for Christmas but just left to visit with her boyfriend’s family in London. She is in the military and with the Service Battalion in Petawawa. She is currently deployed to Afghanistan and should be returning sometime between Jul and Sept.

Amanda(21) just finished her first term at Algonquin College in the Hotel and Hospitality program. She likes the cooking courses but hopes to work in Hotel management in the future.

Alisha (14) did not like leaving her friends in Barrie but after finishing the first term at Col By High School, I think she is starting to enjoy Ottawa and has made many new friends.

Glenda just celebrated her 50th birthday on boxing day with her twin brother who came up from Cambridge with his family. Glenda’s two sisters also flew in from Alberta with their families. In all we had 16 people staying in our house along with 4 dogs and two cats. A great time was had by all.

Frank is now working as a research officer at the Directorate of Personnel Applied Research after spending three years writing recruiting and enrolment policy. He just finished an Industrial Psychology course as part of a part-time PhD program from Saint Mary’s university. In his spare time he teaches distance learning courses for RMC or works on his sail boat.

Best wishes to you and yours for a happy and prosperous New Year.

Frank, Glenda, Kristin, Amanda and Alisha
