CMBO MAPS

These maps are a group of five large Operation sized maps (avg 4 x 5 KM).  They are the maps only so you will have to adjust the parameters and add forces as you see fit.  Also the setup zones will have to be tailored to your scenario.  They are very good, well drawn maps and took alot of time to perfect.  Hope you enjoy them.

(More to Come)
First Time
My first attempt using the new features on the scenario editor.  Turned out rather nicely I think.  Enjoy.  The intro reads:  This is just a real quick fight I put together.  German armor-infantry battalion task force counterattacks Soviet armored spearhead.  Rolling terrain, rural, moderate trees.  Each side has plenty of supporting arms, including Arty and Air.

Spaskaya Polist, USSR
April 29, 1942

The 1st East Prussian Infantry Division (Bloodhounds) was pulled off the frontline in January, 1942.  In the thickest of the fighting since the launching of Barbarossa, the division reported 40 percent strength.  After spending a few months replenishing its ranks and sweeping rear areas for partisans as a trainup for its raw recruits the Division was once again placed on frontline duty in March, 1942.  The division was to become instrumental in the closing of the Volkhov pocket which at the time contained the majority of the Soviet 2nd Shock Army.  The road between Podbyeresys and Spaskaya Polist was the only remaining link the Soviets had to their encircled forces.  On 15 March, two German pincers, one from the north, the other from the south, attacked this vital link and seized the road, effectively closing the pocket.  By the end of the month the Soviets had reopened the corridor to a width of four to five kilometers.  The 1st Infantry Division was committed to the attack to close the corridor once and for all.
