Rena is a very sweet ,2 year old AmStaff who came here last year expecting babies. We pulled her out of a shelter that had her scheduled to be euthanized. On 7/11/03 Rena started going into labor and having problems, so we took her to our vet. It was found that her puppy was too large and got lodged, and ended up dying inside of her. Rena ended up having an emergency c-section, and infection had already developed inside of her due to these complications. With love and medical care,Rena recovered well from her experience, and is now seeking a loving , responsible home. We will NOT place Rena in a home with any other pets. She is best as an only dog in a home with a fenced yard.. Adoption fee $200 to approved home. Rena's medical expenses have been  high . Josie is a fun loving and affectionate 2 year old  Pit Bull. She is eager to please and would be a loyal companion to someone willing to give her a little time. Her life before this was not much to brag about. Josie is patiently awaiting a family of her own. She is ok with other larger dogs, not cats though. She loves hugs and belly scratches. Josie is spayed , vacc'd and HW tested. We were told she was housetrained, but she may just need a refresher in a new home. Adoption fee $225 to approved home.

Connor and Cali are gorgeous ,16 week old purebred Pitbull puppies. Both of these pups are very loving and affectionate to people. They love to be hugged and handled. We have noted some minor  dominance issues developing towards other dogs, so we will only place them in a home with a larger dog of the opposite sex. No cats or small dogs. These pups are outgoing and friendy and eager to learn. We will REQUIRE obedience classes for all puppies adopted through our rescue. We have a mandatory spay/neuter contract. Vaccs and microchipped. Adoption fee $ 275 to approved homes.

Eden is about 11 months old. She has a fun-loving personality and is outgoing . She would be a great partner for a medium active person. She'll chase a ball and likes to play in the baby pool on a hot day. Eden is a silly girl who likes to make you smile....then she wonders why you're laughing at her. Eden does well with friendly males dogs, and playful female dogs. Her best friend here is Lizzie, a young Shepherd . They play for hours. She is crate/housetrained and rides very well in the car. Lizzie will make a great companion for someone ! Spayed, vaccs. Adoption fee $225 to approved home.

Fiocchi is a smaller sized,1 yr old AmStaff. She is very mellow, but full of character! She's a good girl, who mostly tends to mind her own business. She tries to show dominance sometimes with new dogs ( she will stand over top of them ), so would do best with a good natured male dog. Fiocchi likes to go for car rides and also is good on leash . She will chase a tennis ball, but usually ends up running off and chewing the fuzz off of it. :) Fiocchi is a super little dog who would thoroughly enjoy her own  person to give all of her love to. She is crate/housetrained. Spayed, vaccs. Adoption fee $225 to approved home.

Jake is a purebred Rottweiler with a natural tail. He is 2 yrs old.  His owner moved and, sadly, could not take him with . He has been well cared for and has had basic training. He is very well behaved and quite a lover boy. Jake has been mainly an outside dog, but is crate trained and was allowed inside at night. He may just need a short course in housetraining until he gets the hang of being an inside dog. This is a great dog! Please consider him if you are looking for a nice companion. He has been raised with a young boy and is very gentle. Neutered before placement. Vaccs. Adoption fee $250 to approved home.

Lizzie is a 1 yr old Shepherd mix. She is smaller in size and has a very soft, affectionate  personality. She adores children and loves other dogs. When she first came here, she would belly crawl to meet new people. She has opened up more and has gained confidence since being here. Lizzie is very well behaved . She is crate /housetrained and listens well. She is waiting for a kind person to let her share the bed at night. Are you her special someone? Spayed, vaccs. Adoption fee $200 to approved home.

Holly is a girl who would make a great family dog. She is about 2 yrs old, and is a mix of Lab and Golden Retriever. She is an eager -to-please type who is willing to meet new people and see new things. Holly loves to ride in the car, chase a ball, and play in the water. She gets along with other dogs, and is best with a larger dog who will play with her. Holly knows "sit" and is crate trained and mostly housetrained. Spayed, vaccs, microchipped. Adoption fee $ 125 to approved home.

Jake is an all-around good boy who loves life. He is a purebred Black Lab, about 3 years old. Jake likes to play ball and go for car rides. He is friendly with everyone and enjoys meeting new people. He is well behaved and crate/housetrained. Good with other dogs. He'd love a fenced yard, because he likes to chase rabbits if he sees them. This is the perfect companion! Neutered and vacc'd. Dexter is a Pit Bull mix about 5 years old, probably crossed with a Lab . He is an extremely nice boy that loves people and is very affectionate. Dex has likely been abused my a man and is shy of men. He would be ideal in an only female home or with a family where the man was very patient with him. He was found as a stray and transferred here from a closed shelter, where he spent most of his life. The workers fell in love with him because he is such a sweet boy and didn't want to see him euthanized. Dexter is neutered , vacc'd, crate trained with a little coaxing, and  housetrained. He is very playful and loves to go for walks! He needs a gentle, loving home. He is a sweet, sensitive dog, and has done very well and likes to play with all the other dogs here. He desperately needs a forever home of his own! Will you give this deserving boy a chance? I also have more Rotties coming in and always have Pit Bulls in waiting. If you do not see any dog here that fits your life, please contact me anyway and I will do my best to find your "forever " companion. I work with alot of shelters and sometimes just don't have the room to take them all in, but I put the dogs on a waiting list while I search for homes.

I just want to say that each dog on this page has become a very big part of my life and holds a special place in my heart. I love what I do, despite all of the reasons I hear for people throwing away their pets. To help even a few dogs find loving, forever homes means the world to me. I have shed many tears on their behalf and put alot of time into this effort. When these dogs come to my home, they become a part of my family and will be in my heart even long after they leave. While they are here, they eat, sleep, play, and bond with us. The love they have to give is incredible. I can truly say I am blessed. I feel sorry for the people who have never known or felt that kind of devotion. I was put here to make a difference, if only a small one....                     To turn your back on the sadness will not make it go away.                         Jen
