Henry C. McClain is shown as age 3 and born in South Dakota in December
1896 in the 1900 U.S. Census for Meade County, South Dakota (Volume 11,
SD 1, ED 34, Sheet 7, Line 29). He is living with his parents, John and
Grace McClain, and four older siblings in the second ward of the City of
Sturgis, Sturgis Township, Meade County, South Dakota.

Records received from Pearl Sawyer in 1998 show Henry Clyde McClain was
born in Sturgis, South Dakota, on February 13, 1897, and died November
19, 1958, in San Pablo, California, and that his wife's name was Ruby.
She had no further information on this family.
