Our History

4-H.I.M. standing for 4-H'ers In Motion is the name of Ellis County's newest 4-H group.
The start of this club was on May 31, 1999 Memorial Day, which seems to be the best day to start a club who's goal is to help and learn more about the land that our veterans protected.

4-HIM started out with about 19 members and has grown to about 48 members. We are all new to this and we would like to thak Ms. Sharon Amelunke, from the County Extension Office for helping us to get started. Our first officers included two Parent Managers, Mrs. Debbie Dooley and Mrs. Celeste Holmes, President - Jonathan Dooley, Vice-President - Larrisa Holmes, Treasurer - Michael Dooley, and Council Delagate - Ian Perry. To find out who our Officers are now you can click on
" The Officers of 2002 ". Our meetings are held the last Monday of every month at 7:00pm and the meetings last about an hour and half. We try to schedual out activities to encourage the particapation of Homeschoolers as well as Public/Private Schoolers. We hope to see you there.
