Sultan stands 15 hands tall, powerfully built and stylish with beautiful dished head (pictures don't do him justice), long upright neck, straight legs, short backed and balanced. He moves well off his hind quarters with powerful impulsion. Sultan is very gentle and can be handled easily! He shows promise is many disciplines including: western pleasure, halter, dressage and endurance.

As a sire, Sultan is quite prepotent. He can not sire a chestnut and tends to throw black (siring 90% black) foals with connected star, strip and snip with hind socks. Most of his foals are duplicates of himself! He throws an even number of colts and fillies. He is also a proven pinto producer! Sultan's foals are consistently tall and flashy with excellent movement, conformation, color and disposition.

Sultan's pedigree includes many great straight Egyptian and non-Egyptian horses, along with many crosses to black. Sultan's paternal siblings have been exported out of the United States. Sultan is one of the best American bred stallions you can find.

He is a own son of El Reata Faraf, a Egyptian related stallion. Faraf himself while alive was one of the top black producing Arabian stallions. Along with that Faraf produced many national and regional champions in halter, driving, park and western pleasure. El Reata Faraf was by the straight Babson Egyptian stallion Fa-Rousse also black and an excellent producing stallion. Fa-Rousse was sired by the famous black Babson straight Egyptian *Fadl son, Fa-Serr and out of Khedena a double *Fadl granddaughter. El Reata Faraf's dam a Babson Egyptian related mare, Esperanzo Rafloa,also black in color. Esperanzo was by the roan colored *Fadl son, Lothar, who's dam Habba was also by *Fadl. Esperanzo's dam Rafadin was sired by Rifage, son of the imported desert bred stallion *Mirage and out of the imported *Rifala. Rafadin's dam Alidin was sired by *Ferdin.

RBA Farafs Sultan's dam Antonia De Lomas a daughter of the grey straight Egyptian stallion, El Shishak. El Shishak was sired by *Mameluck, a grey straight Egyptian imported from Germany. His dam Moniet IL Mandil a daughter of *Soufian and out of a *Moftakhar daughter. Even though he was of excellent linage he only sired 15 foals. Antonia De Lomas' dam Mael Mistannae a bay daughter of the black, straight Egyptian, Hallany Mistanny son, HMR Haltanny. HMR Haltanny's dam was sired by Hallany Mistanny out of a Gulastra daughter. Mael Mistannae's dam Romael Islamae was by the double Islam bred, Ishmael Islam, out of a Raffsim daughter.
