Your basic choices are: make your own or have someone make it for you.
Making your own:
You can use Microsoft Paint that comes with Windows
You can download an evaluation version (fully functional, free for 30 days) of Paint Shop Pro at Jasc
You can make animated gifs for your club pic with a program you can download at Ulead
You can search for a picture at Yahoo Gallery, then go to My Imager or Gifworks and fix it up (crop, resize, optimize, add text, etc.). My Imager works with gifs or jpgs. Gifworks is for gifs only.
Have someone make it for
you: You may already know someone
who knows how to make graphics. Ask around. There are a few places where
you can get one made for you... CoolText.com--this
site makes you a logo that is fully customizable by
you: color of font and background, font style, size, etc. MediaBuilder--this site will make a banner with your choice of effects. Go here to see some samples of what is available.
