Carson's Radio Show

Incase you live under a rock, that's Carson Daly.

Carson Daly has a radio show. It's broadcast across the country to so many stations every week night at 11:00. It comes on the DC pop station Z104. Of course it's a countdown since that seems to be the only thing they'll ever let him do. Anyway, I try and listen to it, because he has said some hella funny stuff. I wrote down the best ones and here they are. Enjoy.

On Britney:
"She wants to add more of a rock and roll edge to her next album. She wants to collaborate with Justin or all of NSYNC. That's the way to really build your rock image, Britney. You know, don’t put offers out to Aerosmith or Limp Bizkit or Korn, you know, work with NSYNC. Because edge is NSYNC."

On O-Town:
"O-Town shows no sign of going anywhere soon... Insert personal feelings here."

"When I hear the chimes --- that all too familiar piano --- in the beginning of All Or Nothing, I say to myself, 'Carson, O-Town's here.' It's like chimes on a doorbell. Open the door and let 'em in."

"Oh yeah, and don’t forget Making The Band comes back tomorrow night. I already have my five favorite friends picked out and they’re coming over and we’re gonna eat popcorn in our pajamas and watch. You?"

"Oh, just a precious song from O-Town."

"Oh yeah and by the way, on the soundtrack to Dr. Dolittle 2, there’s a new O-Town song called We Fit Together. Just incase the movie wasn’t funny enough..."

"There really isn’t anything better than an O-Town song when you’re not feeling good about things in life, you know? Certain people want to do certain things to make them feel better – like travel or call a loved one – but for me like, dude, when I’m down and out, things going not so smooth, I’m listening to O-Town."

"Here comes a group you can never really have too much of. Oooo-Town. ::laughs::"

On NSYNC:
"Think about it... 'dirty' is the edgy side of NSYNC. Amazing."

"NSYNC now has fan Barbie dolls. Has the marketing gone a little too crazy or is it me? Where do we go from here? Are we just gonna start planting NSYNC chips in our children? ::laughs:: So that they can just become Justin for a day? I think we’ve crossed the line and we’re going a little too far. Maybe we should just stick to enjoying the music." [My point exactly.]

On BSB:
"Hey a Backstreet hug goes a long way... Or so they say."

"But the ironic thing is that Aaron, Nick's little brother, actually prefers NSYNC to the Backstreet Boys. That could probably make for a pretty weird dinner at the Carter house. 'What do you mean you like NSYNC? I'm a Backstreet Boy. You wouldn’t have your record deal if it wasn’t for me.' 'Yeah but I like the way they sing. They're better.' ::laughs:: Then there's the mental picture of Aaron and Nick in their tighty-whities having a pillow fight and actually fighting about it. That is frightening."

"BSB are not breaking up. They're off making beautiful Backstreet music."

"So Nick of the Backstreet Boys said he would love it if Limp Bizkit or Korn would open for the Backstreet Boys. It will be a cold day in hell when that happens. But it gives us a sense of Nick’s taste. He's in a boyband, he likes hard rock. And then AJ heard it and was like 'Oh yeah, me and Fred Durst, we'd be dancing on stage.' Um, AJ... We need to chat. Cause that too will never happen. God bless both acts."

"Backstreet Boys -- or BSB if you're pressed for time."

"I was talking to Nick Carter about what the song Drowning meant and he said that basically it's about getting smothered in love. In a good way of course. So, Drowning is the sandwich of all love songs."

On Nelly:
"Nelly has 7 cars -- One of them being an $80,000 Bentley that has a Playstation 2 and a DVD Player in it. Think about it, it's not like he has a wife and 5 kids. There’s only Nelly. 7 cars... 1 Nelly... 7 cars... 1 Nelly...”

"He's huge, he's talented, he raps, he's proud of St. Louis, he's a caring individual, and he's a damn good chef."

Random:
"Plus you know us over at MTV boy, we'll make sure you see a program. And then when you've seen it a zillion times, we'll make a weekend marathon out of it and make you see it even more. Just to make sure."

What's the use in you denying, that what you had was wrong?
