BIOGRAPHY Peter Mattias Forsberg July 20, 1973 Ornskoldsvik, Sweden (Pronounced Urn-shoulds-veek) Father ~ Kent / Mother ~ Gudrun / Brother ~ Roger Currently Resides in Golden, CO and Domsjo, Sweden Drafted 6th Overall by Philadelphia 1991. Traded to Quebec in 1992 with five other players, 2 draft picks and $15 Million Dollars for Eric Lindros. Stayed in Sweden to compete in World Championships and Olympics. Won Gold at World Championships in 1992 Won Olympic Gold Medal in 1994 Turned Pro in 94/95 winning the Calder Trophy as the years best Rookie. Won the Stanley Cup in 1996 & 2001 with Colorado Took a leave of absence 2001/02 Season... Made his Season debut in Game 1 of the 1st round of the Play-offs against the LA Kings...
