The dry dust lifted as the God placed his heavy foot down against the desert land. The red colored earth beneath him glowed under the glimmering twilight sky and his pale blue skin glistened with sweat as the large golden sun set behind him. It was an epic day. It’s been waiting to occur for so long, and the ageless eyes of the Roika Gods had been watching so patiently. Waiting, waiting. He looked far into the distance of the quiet Fantasy Desert until a tall form started to appear in the waves of heat. He pondered to himself as he adjusted the red velvet sack he held against his back and laid his deep velvet eyes on the shadow before him. The tension wafted through the air and sounds of Rock muscle feet crunching echoed across the ground. The form took shape of a man. His tall, lean frame was clad in white; a suave tuxedo, which was glowing an angelic blue aura. His charcoal hair fell delicately over his deep ochre eyes as he winced them softly and stared at the plump man that stood so far away. It was a stand off. They where standing at a great distance across from each other, the empty desert scenery behind Sabroso, and the large boiling sun behind Bubble. The God grimaced to himself. The young man’s calm, collected stance seemed to bother, Bubble as he watched his lightly tanned hands slowly snake their way between the folds in his pockets for a rest. The wind lightly blew for a moment, giving the heated air a quick crisp wave. Sabroso’s bangs smoothly caressed his cheek and forehead as the soft chimes of the bells decorating the tips of Bubble’s helm danced with the wind as it swayed. As the sun began to descend onto the mountains beyond the desert, the sky slowly blended into a collage of deep crimson clouds. The wind took a sudden stop and the air became thick and heavy. The heat simmered down and Bubble’s sweat ran cold. Sabroso took one hand out of his pocket and ran his fingers through his hair, pushing his bangs back. He then froze, his piercing eyes fixed onto Bubble’s. Sabroso’s face was still and blank, his body uniform and perfectly frozen. Bubble shifted uncomfortably. Sabroso bent his elbow and lifted his hand towards his shoulder. He snapped his fingers quickly in the quiet of the desert. For a moment nothing occurred and it was just as silent as the very Heavens the Gods of Lais had originated from. Suddenly there where bright white lights forming like individual flames directly from the ground upward behind Sabroso. One after another, each becoming brighter and brighter as more appeared. What seemed to be hundreds of thousands of lights, where really spawns. Bubble closed his eyes from the burning sensation the brightness brought to his vision. He waited for the blaze to die down to open them once more, and was surprised to see Sabroso had spawned what looked like a million giant Glaphans. They hovered in place, evenly spaced out in rows and lines from left to right and back. Bubble didn’t bother to look around to know the spawn continued and faded miles to the left and right. The soft wailing of the Glaphans filled the air as they, the ghostlike dark gray creatures of Darken, restlessly hovered. Sabroso laid his hand back in his pocket and curved his lips into a whisper. Bubble braced himself as the spawn suddenly faced him attentively, and started to race and wail in his direction eagerly. As the hundreds of Glaphans passed Sabroso, his eyes flickered an emotion Bubble couldn’t read. Bubble lifted the sack he held over his shoulder for a moment, but stopped himself as he saw nearly half of the Glaphans freeze and fall to the ground. Sabroso’s head jerked upward and he leered at the woman hovering over the spawn. His eyes grew dark and became hard. “This has nothing to do with you.” Shade let out an earth shattering laugh and kicked her head back as her shoulders racked her sultry slender body. Her eyes danced with glory. With a flick of her wrist the rest of the spawn fell to a halt. “And you think it has something to do with you?” She kept her hand in that position and gleamed down at Sabroso. Iblis spawned next to her with a serious facial expression, arms crossed and eyes burning. Shade kept her smile as Bubble stood up straight, and all three of the Gods now looked at Sabroso carefully. His expression dramatically changed as he grinned. Shade’s wrist took another flick, and the Glaphans all turned around and faced Sabroso. His grin grew wider and his handsome features glowed. He lowered his chin and a dark shadow cast over his eyes. His shoulders where back, relaxed and his hands now still resting in his pockets. No one made a sound. The Glaphans where breathing heavily and their bodies softly swayed. Suddenly, Sabroso slowly outstretched his left arm horizontally, fingers outstretched pointing in the same direction. His slender white-gloved middle fingertip and thumb where touching. He snapped his fingers. The wind picked up violently and angrily pushed against the obstacles in its way. Shade’s eyes grew dark, and Iblis formed a light shield around their bodies. The rocks and boulders took the beatings of the wind easily, but Bubble seemed to be having a hard time standing still. He never moved, but forcefully stood in place, tightening the hold he had around the large sack with now both hands. Sabroso’s hair flew wildly and the tails of his blazer whipped at his legs. He let his arm rest at his side and still stood perfectly straight and untouched. Bubble’s face grew numb and cold as the loud blowing of the wind deafened his ears and blinded his eyes. The bells now rung unmercifully and beat against the sides of the Helm repeatedly. It was as if a tornado was whipping about the desert as small pebbles and earth-like debris danced with the currents in the air. Bubble’s eyes grew wide as he felt the very soles of his feet softly vibrate in unison with the sound of large stomping feet. Iblis’ eyebrows furrowed and Shade scrunched her face. She floated through the top of the sphere-like shield and flew a few feet higher. She then gasped at what she saw edging it’s way closer and closer to Sabroso. The sky turned red and the earth shook with every step. One blood colored mechanical leg dropped down in front of Sabroso with a hard shattering stomp. Looming directly over Sabroso the automaton let out a mighty roar that shook the entire desert. It has been freed from it‘s cage and it hungered. Atypical from the normal Clockwork, this one was a blood burnt orange and much larger in size, power, and strength. The Alpha Clockwork lowered it’s diamond rounded face to glare at Bubble. A beautiful sun marking laid across it’s visage , in hues of yellow and orange. It was so elegant and deadly as all four legs where outstretched, ready to lunge at any moment. Sabroso’s face was still facing down, eyes enshrouded with mystery and glare. His Bloody Bow materialized immediately and took form in the hand laid at his side. He balled his fists and thrust his hands downward, causing an array of lights to circle him and caress his body. He then slightly glanced upward and moved his lips smoothly in another breathless whisper. “This is the end.” Shade outstretched her hands franticly and the Glaphans started to speedily fly towards Sabroso. Iblis flew a few feet over them and prepared to strike with an aerial attack. Bubble stood, transfixed in the scene before him as he watched Sabroso’s allies walk into view in a formal line, each prepared with their weapons and clad in their finest armor. The Clockwork jumped back, front metal legs hanging in the air and roared with every energy it held in it’s being. Sabroso lifted his bow towards the spawn of Glaphans slowly, and pulled the invisible string backward with the tips of his fingers. Xagel smirked and lifted his Bloody Sword. “This is only the beginning.”
