*** The Powered Parachute ***

Hello, I'm Norm Burley, AFI, "Dream Flight - Camelot Air Park".  We are conveniently located near Herrin, Illinois... just off Interstate 57.  Come visit our hangar and find out why the Powered Parachute is the fun, easy and affordable way to fullfill your dream of flying.  Here's some general information about preparing to fly and flying the Powered Parachute. *Introductory Training Flight... $50.00* This is the best way to discover if you're interested in this exciting sport.  Includes a 20-30 minute flight with one of our Registered Pilots.  Pre-requisite for solo training. (If you take the ground school within 30 days of the introductory flight, $50.00 will be credited toward the school.) *Ground School & Solo Training... $450.00* Everything you'll need to know for your solo flight.  Topics include Aerodynamics; How the Powered Parachute works and operations of the Powereed Parachute, Weather, FAA Regulations, Proper Radio Communications & Safety.  (4 Hours) *Basic Flight Instructor Training (BFI)... $300.00* Training-Testing and Flight test needed to become a BFI.  Pre-requisite is 25 hours documented and endorsed flying time.  For more information on this course see Norm Burley.

COME FOR A PERSONAL VISIT... HERE'S HOW TO GET HERE! Exit Interstate 57 at the Johnston/Herrin exit and go West (towards Herrin).  After passing the Fire Station turn right and continue going north until you get to Stiritz Road.  Turn left (west) until you get to our "Red & White Hanger".   Or from Herrin, take Park Ave. North to Freeman Spur Road, turn right, but do not go around the curve.  Continue east on Chittyville Road 1.3 miles to Stiritz Road.  Turn left and go 2 miles till you see our Hanger.
