9/13/03 - ARA To sell Canadair Regional Jets.
ARA Executive Director John Giardino has announced that the company's Canadair Regional Jets have been sold to unnamed parties, and that the company will be filling in infrastructure gaps with Dash-8 aircraft. "To remain economically viable, we have to retool our equipment strategy. We remain a loyal Dash 8 customer, and that particular aircraft represent the best option in terms of cost efficiency." Said Giardino, at a press conference from the company's newly unvieled headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.
