Cockatiels

Page updated : 10/17/05

NOTE: All babies have been adopted. Check back occasionally to see if more are on the way.

All of my cockatiels are my pets and are allowed to come out of their cages and interact with people in the evenings. As long as they are healthy, they are allowed to bond with a potential mate and breed (if this is something they want to do). No bird is forced to pair up. Any of my birds that do want to have babies are only allowed to produce 1-2 clutches a year. Their diet consists of a seed/pellet mixture and in addition, they get fresh home-grown sprouts and vegetables several times a week. Each cockatiel is listed below, along with age, genetic history (if known) and any offspring the pair currently has in thier nest.

To adopt one of my baby cockatiels you must be willing to come to Gainesville Florida to meet the babies. When you contact me about them, please include past/current bird keeping experience. I want to make sure you have all the information you need to care for them well. With good care, cockatiels can live up to 20 years.
