Clint Eastwood must be one of the hardest working men in show business. He writes, directs, produces and stars in all of his own films, and often he makes an entertaining film as well. Space Cowboys is in this category.

The best part about the movie is the four main actors: Eastwood, Jones, Garner, and Sutherland are all doing their level best to bring some fun to the movie. It works. The plot is not all it's cracked up to be. Fixing a Russian Sattelite that has more aboard then they were led to believe, is slightly unbelieveable. But, that doesn't seem to matter in this film. You have fun watching these old coots, and believe me that's a self-described comment, go through their paces.

The best part of the film, and actually one of the longest parts, is them going through basic training at NASA. A lot of comedy comes from how they cheat to get through the tests and their conflict with the younger astrounauts who are "supposed" to be there.

Sutherland is a particularly amusing character. A ladies man, who could be their grandpa, he turns in the most amusing of the performances.

So if you want to have a little fun at the movies and see four guys doing it for themselves (and don't mind seeing for aging guys naked butts) go see Space Cowboys and be entertained.
