The movie "Men of Honor" follows the true life story of Carl Brasher, who rose from the depths of southern poverty and discrimination to become the first black master dive in the United States Navy. The performances of Robert De Niro, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Charlize Theron are first rate, however even the best of performances couldn't help the fealing that I was watching a tv movie. The movie slaps you in the face with racial issues and tries to make you feel guilty for the sins of our nations past. It's a pretty good military flick and definitely worth one watch but if you feel like flogging yourself for our nations slave era go watch "Roots".
