Vampire Library
This is a collection of books which I have either read and enjoyed, or else have come highly recommended by someone else.  I will only list books which I feel have merit, one way or another; If I tried to list every vampire book out there, this page would take about 15,000 years to upload.

If anyone is aware of any
good vampire books, please send in the name of the book, as well as the author, the publisher, date of publication and, if possible, a review of the book.  Thanks.
FICTION
BLOOD-THIRST: 100 YEARS OF VAMPIRE FICTION    Compiled by Leonard Wolf ... Contributions by: Stephen King, Ray Bradbury and Richard Matheson.  No review available.  Available from Amazon.com.
--  A roundup of over two-dozen vampire tales illustrating the evolution of the genre since Bram Stoker.
I, VAMPIRE    Written by Michael Romkey.  Mass Market Paperback (June 1993).  No review available.  Available from Amazon.com.
-- A novel written something in the style of Anne Rice.  Be warned - People either loved this novel or hated it; there appears to be no middle ground.
INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE Written by Anne Rice.  Ballantine Books (March 1997).  No review available.  Available from Amazon.com.
-- Of course, what list of vampire fiction would be complete without this - The book that started it all for so many of us, and has spawned a seemingly never-ending stream of vampire wanna-bes.
NON-FICTION
UNHOLY HUNGERS: ENCOUNTERING THE PSYCHIC VAMPIRE IN OURSELVES AND OTHERS Written by Barbara E. Hort.  Shambhala Publications (May 1996).  No review available.  Available from Amazon.com.
--  Described as 'a brave work', this book deals with psi-vamps - How they drain energy, why they do so, and how you can protect yourself.  Be warned - I haven't read it, but from what i've been told the book views psi-vamps as malicious, manipulative creatures.  So some of you may be offended.
THE VAMPIRE ENCYCLOPEDIA    Written by Matthew E. Bunson.  Crown Puplications (June 1993).  No review available.  Available from Amazon.com.
--  An A-Z of vampiric terms.  Everything from Hades to Hematomania to Lycanthropy and Lugosi.  An excellent source of information regarding vampiric lore, as well as quite a lot of wierd stuff (Vampiric watermelons anyone?).  Perhaps not entirely serious, but worth a look.
