Hello and welcome to the Shinoken Newsletter. Shinoken, in case you didn't know, is Fist of Death in Japanese. On your right is our beautiful represenative, Ryoko Subaru! Not as hot as Fuko-Sama....but you take what you can get. Anyway, The Shinoken brings you news about anime, manga, and anime fanfiction.
Ghost in the Shell 2 was recently released in Japan as a manga, unfortunately for all you minors, as an X-rated manga. But an edited NON-X rated version will be out there soon. The sixth and final Ranma 1/2 season is finally being dubbed for US release. It will be released on VHS and DVD for 7 months, one VHS/DVD a month. The tapes/discs contain three episodes apiece for 30$ per volume. The final two volumes, Ukyo's Secret Sauce and For The Love Of Akane, will detail an epic ass-kicking struggle against a demi-god. One bad-ass motherfucker of a fight. Also this month, the fifth and final DVD of Martian Successor Nadesico was released. The release of the two Evangelion movies, Death and Rebirth and End of Evangelion, will be postponed until January on DVD, Decenber on VHS.
In fanfiction news, be very selective about reading EVA fics. As some of you may have noticed, it's slipping. We are all being drawn into a horrifying terrorsphere of WAFF, lemons, and fluff. Run while you can, for here may be the only santcuary you have left. Here we shall build up an army of GOOD fanfiction, and one day we will rise! We shall overtake the earth with massive overdoses of Angst, Drama, Action, and Humor! And then me and Fuko-Sama will rue the WORLD!!!!!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
