   Special Announcement
  The weekend of May 31st-June 1st,2008 there will be a Federal Living History in Fort Mulligan in Petersburg West Virginia. Federal re-enactors are  needed to do a period garrison of the fort. Cavalry dismounted & Mounted (Limited to 20 horses Max), Infantry, Artillary (up to 6 guns). Fort Mulligan was built by the 23rd Ill.Irish brigade plus other regiments from Pa., Md., Ohio and of course W.Va..
   It costs between $3,000 to $5,000 a year just to mow the grass at the fort. All proceeds made during Fort Mulligan weekend will go to the fort for its upkeep and preservation.
   The living history will be as close as possible in giving an interpretation of life during the Fort’s hay day when US forces built( under the direction of Col. Mulligan) and occupied the fort.
