FREE GIFT!
Sound too good to be true? It sure catches our eye, doesn't it? But there's always that fine print:     "Plus shipping and handling" or "Add NYS Tax"

So is there anything in this world that is truly free? The answer is YES!

SALVATION

What does that mean, any way? Well, here's the deal: we are all sinners.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." Romans 3:23
But there is good news too! The next verse continues:
"...and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
Romans 3:24

Now, some people would say "I'm no sinner! I'm a good person! I've never hurt anyone in my entire life!" Well, the problem with sin is that we all have it, and no matter how hard we try, we always will. There is no small sin. So lying on the stand in a courtroom is the same as telling a little white lie to your spouse about how he or she's new haircut
really looks! God hates it all. But he didn't want us to suffer in our sin,so He did something amazing:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." John 3:16, 17

Huh? We've heard that verse so many times. But what is God saying? He's telling us that He sent Jesus to die for our sins, to give us eternal life. Jesus didn't come to judge us (although someday He will) but He came to SAVE us.

So
Salvation is the Free Gift? Big Deal!

Well, it IS a big deal. And salvation has its perks! This is just a sample of what
you get with your salvation (FREE!)
Eternal Life (John 10:28, 11:25, 14:2, Romans 6:23)
Light (John 12:46)
Peace (John 14:27
Blessings (Romans 4:7)
Love (1 John 3:1)
A Kleenex (Revelation 21:4)

Sound good? I know it's helped a ton of people through some very hard times, including myself. Accepting Jesus as your Savior does not make your life perfect (at least not our life here on earth) but it gives us a Hope that others just don't have. Who else can promise you the above things? I can't even promise my own children those things! (except maybe the last one!)

So what should you do?

Romans 10:9-11,13 says this:
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, 'Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.' For 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

It's pretty simple. Accept Jesus as Lord of your life and let Him take over. Believe me, its nice having someone like that in charge! The hard part is trusting and being patient. Things won't always go our way, but we have a God who loves us and knows His plan for our life:

"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to give you a
hope and a future.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29:11,12

So this craziness that is our earthly life DOES have a purpose!
Only through Jesus can we know what that purpose is.
It is our FREE GIFT for the asking.
Shipping and handling is, ofcourse, free  ;)
