New Land Rover 1980 Land Rover Series III Stage One

Old Land Rover 1973 Land Rover Series III "Highlander"

CURRENT STATUS: Repairs and Modifications. IMPORT TIMELINE: Purchased FEB 2006 - pending pickup in New Quay, Wales FEB 13: Item won on E-Bay FEB 14: Foreign Check written by Bank MAR 3: Check mailed by bank to owner in Wales. MAR 7: Check arrived and deposited. MAR 13: Land Rover towed to Land Rover Centre in Huddersfield MAR 31: I drove the Land Rover for the first time APR 1-4: Picking up parts from various sources APR 10: Repair work beginning APR 30: Repair work progressing (see IMPORT) MAY 17: Starting to put parts on rather than take them off. JUN 26: All repairs complete, awaiting arrival of soft top before shipping. JUL 12: All parts are in and a boat ticket has been bought. Estimated arrival time is August 3rd. JUL 18: The Land Rover has moved from Huddersfield to the Port of Liverpool. JUL 23: My ship has sailed. AUG 2: The ship arrives at the Port of Baltimore. AUG 4: My Land Rover is picked up and taken to its new home. More information added under IMPORT button below

STATUS: Sold AUG 2005 to a buyer in Baltimore. Re-sold to an owner in Minnesota. They have since moved to Newport Beach, CA. Then I saw it for sale again in Las Vegas but I think the owner kept it and it went back in California(2006). In 2008 I saw it pop up on e-Bay. The new owner has removed its stripes - heartbreaking to me. He said he was trying to sell it and return home to Isreal. I am not sure where it is today... This Rover has covered some ground!!
