"Let him go." Takid muttered, writhing in his bonds against the wall.

"And why should I?" The demon-Elf asked, playing with a dagger and looking at the limp form of the other prince.

"He has done nothing to you!" The younger brother cried, glaring daggers at the demon.

"Nothing? And the people who killed my kin, did they do nothing to me also?" Kokushibyou snarled.

"That was wrong." Takid said forcefully. "But my brother and I have done nothing to you! You attacked us and we defended our people."

The Elf snarled and pressed the dagger hard against Takid's throat. It drew blood and the young prince's breath caught in his throat as the demon neared him. He looked so very normal. Except for his eyes. They were the kind that belonged to people who had given up.

"He deserves to die." The Elf snarled and pulled the dagger away, turning from him. "But I have a better way for him to be killed..."

"And when he is dead, what will become of me?" Takid squeaked, his throat hurting slightly.

"By then, my friend, you will be just like me." The Elf said forcefully. "You will hate them all also."

"I cannot, will not, turn on my people!" The prince cried.

"But you will!" The Elf snarled, turning to look at him with his pupil-less dark blue eyes. "You will want to hurt them for the hurt they have brought to you."

"They have done nothing to me!" Takid argued.

"Yet." The Elf answered with a smirk. "But they will."

He turned back to Calad as the other prince stirred. Takid struggled in his bonds. "What are you going to do with him?" He demanded.

The Elf turned with a small smile, malicious in nature. "All three of us are going to a dragon clutch. You and I will be candidates and your brother will be a sacrifice."

"I will not stand for a clutch that asks for sacrifices!" Takid yelled, his voice reverbrating around the stone fortress.

"It does not ask for them." Kokushibyou whispered, glaring at Calad now. "It searches for them. It takes them."

"So this clutch is evil." Takid asked, frightened now.

"Yes, and it will cause much pain." The Elf answered.

"Release him." Calad growled, speaking up for the first time. "He has done nothing to you."

Kokushibyou glared at the older prince with pure hatred. He stalked back across the room to Takid and touched his forehead, though the boy tried to avoid it. Takid felt searing pain and he screamed in response. It burned! Like his soul was being ripped from him. And with the pain came images, memories that were not his.

As the pain subsided, the freshness of the memories faded and they settled in his mind. Yet, Takid could no longer find his memories. The ones that made him who he was. He only found those belonging to his captor.

A few minutes passed as Takid warred with the new version of himself crafted from those memories. He failed and fled into his mind as a tiny whisper of a voice. The new Takid looked out of his eyes now. "He deserves to die." He announced calmly.

Calad stared at him with round eyes. Kokushibyou, however, preened proudly and untied him. The innocent version, the voice, whimpered to the new demon that was himself. Do not harm him! It cried.

Takid shook off that voice and walked at the Elf's side. The other creature opened a Portal to a new world and grabbed Calad, throwing him through. The two followed.

The Apocalypse is coming... Family ties have ended as will a life soon... The Apocalypse is coming! A voice cried on the wind whistling around the fortress as they went to another world.
