Lina Inverse

Meet Lina Inverse the heroin of the series (well sorta, if you let some things slide).   Lina hails form the town of zelfiana, a thriving agricultural town famous for its grapes and wine.   Lina is a sorcery genius that specializes in black magic, the magic of the mazoku (this will be explained later).   She is tough, sorta arrogant, greedy as hell, strength of someone twice her size (make that four times when you insult her), and can eat just about anyone under the table (yes eat, not drink) except her main traveling companion Gourry Gaberiv.      Even thought she has a lot of negatives she also has a positive side, she is very compassionate to her friends and is an all around nice person (if you stay on her good side).   Lina first begins to travel when she is fifth teen years of age with her annoying partner, Naga the white serpent.  After messing around with Naga for a few months Lina and her parted ways (Meaning lina probably just dumped her somewhere and the stupid woman hasn't figured it out yet).   Lina goes off on her own doing as she pleases (mainly attacking bandit gangs, note the nickname "Bandit Killer"), and after a run in with a few of the dragon fangs she meets Gourry Gaberiv.

(Waring!! Dragon Slave Approaching)  :p

After meeting up with her now full time body guard, Lina begins to look for places to sell her treasures (stolen from the dragon fangs), but finds nothing but trouble.   Soon after she runs into the series first villain (for three episodes), Zelgadis Greywords.   At first he tries to bargain for an item she has that her wants, but Lina's stubborness show its big head and they become "deadly enemies" as Zelgadis puts it.   Soon after running from a bunch of Zelgadis' minions, Lina and Zel finally have an all out duel for said item (well they would have, had it not been that time of the month, and all of Lina's powers gone :p).   Well, to say lina loses this battle and is captured by Zel, as the story goes on you find that Zel is haunted by his past and really isn't that bad a guy.   Point in mind he lets Lina go and helps her to escape (he says its just to get the item, but we know better).   Well to wrap this up lets just say Lina can be a useful companion or a pain in the ass as an enemy.

Webmaster's Notes: Lina is pretty much my runner up fav character in the Slayers line up (with exception of Xellos, mainly Xellos in Slayers: Next).

"What do you mean with exception to Xellos, you saying that fruitcake outranks me in you list of favs!?!" Lina begins to glare daggers at Findel while gritting her teeth.

Findel rubs the back of his head nervously while trying to calm Lina.  "Well, ah... Lina what I mean is he is a funny character in next but you are all around better in the long run."

Lina grabs Findel by the collar and forces him down to eye level.  "I'm not buying that lame excuse buddy, might want to try again before I Dragon Slave your ass back to your own dimension!!!"

Findel ponders for a second, trying to figure out a way out of this predicament without pain. *Lightbulb* "Hey Lina there's an ALL YOU CAN EAT FREE BUFFET in the dinning hall."

"FOOD!!!," "Where?!?!" Notices the direction Findel is pointing and takes off at warp speed.

Findel sighs and begins to prepare a stalled gate spell just in case a dragon slave heads his way.

Well back to business, I am also a strong supporter of the Zel/Lina coupling (Sorry if you don't agree but it seems stable to me).
