Plan to attend the Frankfurt High School 2001 Business
Meeting in New York, New York! The Roger Smith Hotel (http://rogersmith.com/),
501 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10017, is headquarters for the event.
The official dates are Friday, June 22 to Sunday, June 24, 2001, but many
will arrive by Thursday, June 21.
The special FHS rate is $195 per room/night + 13.25% sales tax + $2 city tax. This totals to a bit more than $222 per night, so make plans to share accomodations now. The hotel will honor the special rate for early arrivers and late departers, if anyone cares to extend their stay. We have 30 rooms guaranteed until April 1, 2001. If rooms remain available, the hotel will continue to offer the same rate.
To reserve your room, call 800-445-0277 and ask for the Frankfurt High reunion rate when booking! Please book early so that Tom can arrange for more rooms before the spring rush. Reservations may be cancelled without penalty up to 4 p.m. of the day of arrival.
For less expensive, nearby accomodation, contact the Hotel Edison, 228 W 47th St, 212-840-5000, http://www.edisonhotelnyc.com. Also, there is a YMCA about 15 blocks from the Roger Smith Hotel (5 West 63rd), and it has room rates at $85 for a double. Anyone interested can call 212 875-1334. It is in a nice area, and the rooms are decent.
We will use the Roger Smith's penthouse for the hospitality suite. A small registration fee will pay for and stock the hospitality suite. We will have a German dinner planned for Friday night. A Circle Line harbor lights cruise will be available for Saturday evening. We'll be on our own at other times for theater, a ball game, museums, etc. Your options are many!

Looking ahead to 2002? The Frankfurt American High School 2002 business meeting for the classes of 1963 through 1966 is tentatively scheduled for Las Vegas, NV.
