Who is Eddy Mak?

His name is Eddy Mak. Of course this guy is a 100% chinese who lives in Hong Kong. He has black eyes and black hair (+ some white hair now). Don't ask his age. No one knows. He said he forgot how old he was. He is not tall, just about 1.65m. Thanks God, he is not very fat and he has medium build.

What does he like? Hobbies?

Umm... His favourite cartoons are Ding Dong, Snoopy, Bugs Bunny and Dr. IQ. and TV series are The X-Files and ER. He seldom sees movies but he likes Die Hard, Titanic, Ghost, Toy Story, A Beautiful Mind, Shrek, Somewhere In Time and Casablanca. He doesn't like sports very much but he sometimes plays Badminton, Tennis and Squash. Lazy... from the date he was born, he loves to sleep. However, he likes Computer related reading such as programming techniques and new technologies. Besides of computing, he likes paper model making. Recently, he has been learning to make cakes at home. The taste?! Haha...

What has he learnt?

He is a computer addict. He learnt computer programming when he was young. He bought a CASIO programmable calculator and started to write BASIC. He studied Computing formally in universities. He completed Honors Degree in Bachelor of Computing (H2A) in Computer Science in 1995 and finished Master of Science in Software Technology in 2001. He is an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and an ex-IEEE member. He is learning Project Management right now.

What are his Professional Interests?

He likes to construct client/server and n-tier applications in object oriented manner. He usually uses Visual Basic, C# and C/C++ as his programming tools. Besides of the boring job, he enjoys Computer Graphics and Image Processing. He said they were very interesting. He is a stranger, he doesn't like to play games but he likes to learn how to design and create Computer Games. He created some simple games in Java Applet and PalmOS.

What is he actually doing?

He is one of small potatoes in IT field. He was an System Analyst in a small bank. He had unhappy experience and he didn't like those nonsense management people. He disagreed with what his heads did. However, most of people in the division were friendly. He felt lucky he met them. He also worked for Intel as a contract developer before. His bosses treated him very good. In his last job, he was a contract system consultant in a finance company. Although it was a contract job, most of the people are good. He worked at there 5 years. Poor guy, he is looking for a new job.
