What if I cannot attend an activity I have signed up for? Phone or contact person as soon as you know. Even if it is the morning of the activity, it is important to know that you are not coming, so we will not wait for you and your family.

FCUHA Statement of Purpose

(August 1, 1995)

The FCUHA is being formed to support parents in Franklin County and surrounding areas who are currently homeschooling their children and those who are interested in finding out more about homeschooling.

We are united as parents in respecting each other's rights in America to teach our children according to the dictates of our own consciences.

We are united in staying informed of state and national political issues that pertain to education, homeschooling and parental rights.

We are united in supporting anyone homeschooling and will not discriminate for race, creed or religion.

We are united that FCUHA is an educational support group only and recognize and respect that individual beliefs are taught in our churches and within our homes. We also recognize and respect each other's rights as parents in teaching our children according to our own beliefs and consequently would never intentionally influence a child contrary to their parental teachings and beliefs.

There will be no membership fees or membership list, but rather a mailing list. There will be no yearly dues, but at each activity or field trip a $1.00 family fee will be charged to help with publicizing future events. A treasurer will keep track of the money and distribute a yearly budget. (This would be in addition to any fee charged in conjunction with the field trip, transportation costs, supply costs for activities, etc.)
