Not yet, Sillyfur~

CATS is closed, and I'm pissed as a cat in the rain about it, but there's not much I can do but wait 'til a tour comes around. The directors at Broadway are IDIOTS for closing such an awesome show! As a dedication to CATS; Now and Forever ("forever"- I think we've been lied to), I wrote a little song. It's to the tune of 'Any Dream Will Do' (music by the one and only ALW~) from 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat'. So read it, kay?

The Memory Lives On

I knew a man who wrote a story
Which came to glory- that man is gone.
Our cats of old, that he created
Gratitude belated- and the show went on.

Each song they sang, in purrfect timing,
Eyes bright and shining, but the deal is done.
All the leaps and steps- must they go forever?
Every word so clever- the memory lives on.

A flash of sparks! A blue spotlight!
A Jellicle dance in broad moonlight!
Feline spirits in the night- we'll never be alone!!!

Pray they return to Broadway grinning
Forever bringing their games and fun!
Farewell for now, both good and villain
Our tears are spillin' like rays of sun.

~humming~

The tappin' shoes! The swingin' tails!
Them Woolworth pearls an' claw-like nails!
The thrill and pace of theatre leflt lyin' in the dust!!!

Gonna miss the hush, the stage lights dimming.
The flirtin' an' the spinning- but the deal is done.
For years to come, I will remember
That glowing ember, the memory lives on.

Memory, memory... memory, memory lives on! Memory, memory... memory, memory lives on! Memory, memory... memory, memory lives on...

~Due to the number of people who love Tumblebrutus, I will no longer take him to be my lawfully wedded husb- er, you know what I mean. Tumblebrutus will still rule this website! Faytistica's new hunny- Thackery Binx. Sound familiar? Should, he's the cool black cat in Disney's 'Hocus Pocus'. Long live Thackery Binx! :Þ Enjoy~

Tumblebrutus: 'Nuther visitor, 'Tica! *peeks through the eyehole in the door and calls over his shoulder*

Faytistica: Invite 'em in! *from the kitchen where she's preparing some catnip 'n' honey*

Tumblebrutus: Should I check for ID? Scan for weapons? *doesn't wait for an answer but opens the door* Put all your belongings onto the conveyor belt pl-

Faytistica: No! They're our guests! *walks into the living room and waves you in, knocking Tumblebrutus playfully on the head once* Many apologies! *shakes your paw and looks up* Well look at that, you just added another kittie to our counter. Thanks!

Tumblebrutus: Yeah, that's how many people we've had since the 22nd of February. We had a lot more before that though! Wanna know how it started? *places a paw on his chest proudly* Once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived a handsome prince in a shining cast-

Faytistica: Enough! You're scaring them! Please, come in, enjoy your stay. Don't worry about Tumble, he forgot to take his ADHD medicine this morning. Come along dear, lets go get some catnip... *sneakily hides Tumble's medicine in the treat*

Well go on! Pick one, it can't kill ya~

Faytistica: *sits down at her keyboard and begins to play* Music is the best! (weoino eheahoif oieua henf p aejo ioionkhjhae jhio; oea)
Tumblebrutus: *saunters in* Um, 'Tica, that's not the kind of keyboard Munkus was talking about.
Faytistica: Sure it is... (weoinfoal fiehj alei alkd iein aoidfj yowipf92 m keoaidjka ejoaooo l) see, it makes a purrty tapping noise, kinda like a drum. It's not supposed (weoiao aie ao ife ja) to sound like a drum is it? Maybe it's broken... *picks up the keyboard and gives it a shake.* ~rattle-tat-tat-tat-crack!~ Uh oh!
Tumblebrutus: Oh my gosh look what you've DONE! *grabs the computer keyboard from 'Tica* Not THAT kind of keyboard!!! A piano keyboard! *mourns his broken computer keyboard* How will I ever update again?!?
Faytistica: *looks sadly at her footpaws and mumbles-* 'msorry.
Tumblebrutus: *suddenly brightens* Hey, this might be ok! *grabs a screwdriver and quickly takes the keyboard apart*
Faytistica: Gosh Tumblebrutus, you took that apart awful fast.
Tumblebrutus: *looks up a moment and blushes, slowing down considerably* Uh, yeah, well you know, toms are good at fixin'...
Faytistica: *getting suspicious* Have you taken it apart before?
Tumblebrutus: *swallows audibly* Maybe.. but to fix it.
Faytistica: It was broken before? Then it's not my fault!
Tumblebrutus: No! It's your fault!
Faytistica: When did I break it before?
Tumblebrutus: Not before, just now.
Faytistica: But you said you took it apart before... *detects the smell of peanut butter and jelly... stale* What the...?
Tumblebrutus: Eh, probably one of the kittens! *smashes the bottom of the keyboard back onto the top half and begins to maniacly screw the pieces together*
Faytistica: *grabs keyboard from Tumblebrutus* You spilled peanut butter and jelly in there! Maybe that's why it worked for so long!
Tumblebrutus: *is guilty* Wha...?
Faytistica: With all the loose stuff in there, it couldn't get lost coz it was stuck in the peanut butter. Ohwell, now we've got a great excuse to get a new computer!
Tumblebrutus: What's wrong with the rest of the computer?
Faytistica: Well... ya know last week when we had mouse for dinner?
Tumblebrutus: *stares at the vacant mousepad, puts his paws up to his mouth and runs into the bathroom* *when he re-emerges, he still inquires abou the rest of the computer*
Faytistica: Um... well... the neighbors got a cool new pet. They said it was a monitor lizard, so I got us one... *shows Tumblebrutus the back of the monitor, caved in, caged up, and an electrocuted little lizard lying dead inside* I wanted a pet.
Tumblebrutus: *does a double-take* I don't even WANT to know what you did with the 'hard drive'!
Faytistica: Oh don't worry hunny, it's still in good shape, I think. I gave it to Victoria. I thought she might like it, being all alone in that cell.
Tumblebrutus: *moans* What next? *notices something else is missing* Where's the scanner?
Faytistica: Um, you know the sleeping mats in the asylum? They're kinda lumpy, so I thought Victoria might like a flat bed. It was a flat bed scanner, wasn't it?
Tumblebrutus: *passes out on the floor*

I'm in Catsweek!
