We have been raising Katahdin Hair Sheep since 1998. After much research we decided the Katahdin was
just right for us.

A hardy, adaptable, low maintenance medium-sized sheep.
High quality, well-muscled, naturally lean, mild tasting meat.
Non-fleece hair coat which grows thick in cold weather, and naturally sheds during temperature and season changes.
Low maintenance due to lack of wool ... which means shearing, crutching and tail docking are not required. Minimal parasite treatment.
A variety of colour and colour combinations!
(Mixing all these colour possibilities with our sheep's warm and fun personalities makes it even more fun to raise and care for them.)
