Born - June 11, 1945, in Sacramento, California
Parents -
her father is French Canadian and her mother is Armenian. They divorced when Adrienne was twelve years old, causing such a trauma to Adrienne that she went through therapy for years.
College - Foothill College, in Los Altos Hills, California.
San Jose Civic Light Opera -
she began performing in 1963 with the San Jose Civic Light Opera were she entertained the troops.
Other Jobs - worked in a termite control office, which did not satisfy her causing her to quit.
In New York - she moved to New York were she was going to perform on Broadway but ended up as a go-go dancer.
Broadway - later she made her Broadway debut as Tevye's second daughter, Hodel, in "Fiddler On The Roof," which she performed for two and a half years. She also starred as Rizzo on the original Broadway production of "Grease."
"Maude" - starred as Carol Traynor, Maude Findlay's daughter, on the television series "Maude," although she did not portray Carol in the pilot. At first, Norman Lear did not think she was old enough for the role, but later decided on her. The series debuted on the CBS television network on September 12, 1972. After 141 episodes, the series ended after the sixth season on April 22, 1978, although Adrienne rarely appeared during the sixth season.
After "Maude" - she has appeared in many TV movies and films. In March of 1997, she gave birth to identical twin boys, William, and Walker. She now resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Billy Van Zandt, and sons, William, Walker, and Cody.
