I purchased my WRX about 2 years ago (August of 2001), at Bob Baker's Chevrolet/Subaru car dealership located in El Cajon, California. I traded in my mildly modded 1994 Integra GSR for it... basically I became very tired of the angry bumble bee status my car grew to emulate on public roads.
In the 2 years I've owned my WRX, I haven't done much to it, with mods consisting of a JUN column mounted boost guage and an HKS Carbon-Ti (cat-back) exhaust system. Not a whole lot to brag about now, but there is much, much more to come. My goal is basically to make my car outaccelerate, outhandle, and outbrake a 2004 Impreza WRX STI.
It's a pretty bold statement to make, and considering the time I've already had the car, this process won't happen overnight... most likely not even in a year. In the event I can't conceivably finish my project, I'll probably end up buying a Lancer EVO 8 instead. I've had the pleasure of driving one of these beasts and all I have is two words for y'all: "Oh, My!" Yes, the EVO is THAT good. It should be put in a huge glass case, with a sign put over it stating "break only in case of great ass-peril or emergency situations".
