One more day to go and the potion is going to work, his nightmares would be over. Tomorrow, his free as a bird. Free off this sticky mess he had been in.

It was raining that night. A storm. Tokiya had finished closing all the windows and locking all the doors for the night. Fuuko was sitting in the couch, waiting for him to finish. She had her pillow cuddled up in her arms as she laid her head on it, watching the storm and thunder clashing in the sky. She would flinch at every sound of thunder and at the every strike of lightning.

"Okay, I'm done. Come on and I'll tuck you in" he said, grabbing hold of her hands. With a last glance at the glass window, Fuuko turned away and followed Mikagami. Upon reaching the room Fuuko was staying, Tokiya switched on the light. Fuuko climbed up her bed and lay down. Tokiya took the covers and spread across Fuuko's body. Fuuko shivered form the cold and pulled her blanket to her.
"Good night" Tokiya said as he switched off the lights and closed the door.

3:00 am.

A silent knock on Tokiya's door. The storm hasn't seized yet, in fact, it gone worse. Tree's were swaying violently outside, the winds howling like a loud ghost cry, the lightning strikes and thunder. Fuuko slowly opened the door to Tokiya's room. Her little figure casted a shadow from the light outside to Tokiya's dark room. With a small sigh, the little girl walked towards Tokiya's bed. She threw her pillow in and climbed up. Kneeling beside the sleeping guy, she gently shook him to wake him up.
"Mikagami, Mikagami" she called, shaking him faster and harder. Few moments later, Tokiya's eyes flew open. He sat up and looked down at the girl kneeling beside him.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"I'm scared. I can't sleep" she said, flinching at every strike of lightning outside. So, Fuuko's afraid of lightning and thunder, huh? Tokiya asked himself. He grinned mentally and took note of it.
"What do you want to do?" he asked.
"Can I sleep here with you? Just for tonight?" she asked him. Tokiya was surprised. She was asking to sleep with him?! Sure, she's still 7 years old at the time...but...this is still Fuuko! "Please?" came the quiet voice again when he didn't reply. Lightning again. Fuuko began to shiver from the cold and fear. Tokiya smiled and nodded. He laid her beside him and threw the covers on both of them, placing his arms around Fuuko to warm her up. Boy, was he getting soft. Fuuko smiled and cuddled up closer to Tokiya. "Good night" she said as she she closed her little eyes to sleep, wrapped around Tokiya's warmth.

Morning came.

Tokiya opened his eyes. It was already morning and the rain had stopped. He cleared his eyes and looked at the girl beside him, but to his surprise, it wasn't the girl he slept the night before. It was the REAl Fuuko! Due to the shock, he wasn't able to notice that his right arm was still around her. Fuuko, on the other hand, also woke up to see Mikagami staring at her. She looked at him, then to herself. She felt different. She was grown-up again. It was only a few minutes until they relaized they were too close to each other. Fuuko gasped as Tokiya's eyes widened. Both of them jumped on their side of the bed.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know you have changed back" he apologized, his face as red as a tomato. Fuuko was blushing the same way.
"Me too. I'm sorry" she apologized. "Funny, when I grew up, my clothes gone bigger as well" she said, looking at herself. Tokiya watched her as she stood up and went in front of the mirror. he watched her as she jumped for joy. "It is me!" she said, looking at herself.
"Why did you ask that wish anyway?!" Tokiya asked her half angrily and half curiously. "You almost crashed the whole house to bits!"
Fuuko grinned. "That was it! I wanted to torture you in a kind and friendly way" she said with a wink. A tiny sweatdrop fell on Tokiya's head.

Moments later, Fuuko turned her eyes on Tokiya. She stared at him for a moment, then laughed. Tokiya's brows furrowed.
"What?" he asked. Fuuko just laughed.
"I may be small at that time, but I'm still me, you know" she said. "Thanks. I dodn't know you were so soft and caring" she paused then grinned. "Wait 'till the others hear about this"
Tokiya just remembered. Now that Fuuko's back, she won't be needing him to take care of her anymore. Halfly, he was happy, but the other half was somewhat...disappointed. He'll miss the little thing. Somehow he had grown close to her, as close almost like the closeness he had with his sister. "Mikagami, are you alright?" Fuuko broke Tokiya's deep thoughts. tokiya shook his head and glanced back at her.
"Of course I am" he said. Though not fully satisfied witht heanswer, Fuuko just shrugged.
"Whatever" she grumbled. There was a pause before Fuuko finally sighed. "You know, I'll miss being the little rascal that drives you insane" she said. "If I still do that it'll be a crime" she was now grinning, picturing herself to act the same way. Tokiya smiled as well. He then stood up and walked out the door.
"Oh by the way, Mikagami!" Fuuko said and stopped him. "Would you mind if I take the little things you bought me? I kinda like them even if they are for kids" Fuuko asked sheepishly. Tokiya was confused for a time but then simply nodded at her. Without Fuuko anymore, will it make his life better like he thought?
