Joey drove as fast as she could to the hospital. She had just gotten a call that her boyfriend Pacey, and her friends:Dawson, Jen, and Gretchen were in a bad car accident. She prayed to herself that they would all be okay.

She got there and found Jack out front waiting for her. She quickly parked her car and ran over to him. She looked at the expression on his face and she knew something terrible had happened.

"What happened Jack!?!"

"The car hit dead on with the truck and Dawson flew through the front window.Pacey was driving and slammed his head on the stearing wheel. I don't know about Jen or Gretchen yet"

That was all Joey could stand. She burst into tears and ran into the hospital.She sat down on the bench and put her face into her hands and sobbed.After everything her and Dawson had gone through she couldn't loose him know. And Pacey laying in a hospital made her wanted to run to him and tell him it was all a bad dream, but it wasn't.

Two hours later one of the doctors came out into the waiting room.He came over to the bench where Joey and Jack were sitting.

"Are you Joey?"

"Yes"

"Your friend Pacey is asking for you"

"Where can I find him?"

"Down the hall, then turn left and go to room 158"

Joey got up and ran in the direction the doctor had pointed.She found room 158 and she took a deep breath and walked into the room. There lay Pacey with a bandage on his head and his arm in a sling. Joey walked over to him and placed a kiss on his cheek. Pacey felt the warmth and opened his eyes.

"Hey"

"Pacey I am so glad you are alright...I was really worried about you"

"Well nothing bad happened to me that a few weeks won't heal"

Joey burst into tears and hugged him tightly. Pacey hugged her back and he felt terrible for the pain and fright he had caused in her.Joey let go of him and looked down into his eyes.

"Pacey, Dawson is hurt really bad"

Pacey asked worriedly,"What happened?"

"He was riding in the front seat and when truck crashed into the car you fell forward and hit your and head, but Dawson went through the windshield...Jack says that he had glass all over him and he was bleeding badly...I am so scared,I don't want to loose him...he is my best friend and I don't know what I would do without him"

Pacey grabbed her hand and squeezed it tightly. He wasn't sure what to do to make her feel better and that everything would be alright.

"Joey, Dawson is strong and healthy and he'll be better before you know it...I just feel bad to see you like this and not be able to do anything to make you feel better...are Jen and Gretchen okay?"

"Jen has a dislocated shoulder and a fractured ankle...and Gretchen has broken leg,but beside that they'll be alright"

"I guess Dawson was the only one seriously hurt...it is funny...I mean how he cared about everyone and tried his hardest but yet he was hurt badly"

A nurse came in and told Joey she had to leave so that Pacey could rest. Joey gave him a kiss and then left the room. When she walked into the waiting room she found Dawson's parents on their feet talking with a doctor. She saw Dawson's mother almost fall to the ground but her husband held her up.Joey then knew deep in her heart that today she had lost a close friend.

Later that night Joey fell asleep and she dreamt that Dawson was still alive.She dreamt she had a fight with Pacey and she went to Dawson for comfort. He told her not to worry and then hugged her.
