    Appalachian Alternative Agriculture of Jackson County, Kentucky, is a producer owned and managed corporation. Our vision is to assist the family farmers in renewing prosperity and quality of life by working together to obtain a profitable return for farm products.
     We are growing mostly Appalachian geno-type wildflowers and medicinal herbs. The herbs are grown organically. We are currently offering Purple Cone flower (or Echinacea,
purparea) seed, dried root of Gyncing, Yellow Root (or Golden Seal,) Black Cohosh, and a few other items. E-mail us for more information!

  • To assist the family farmers in renewing prosperity and quality of life by working together to obtain a profitable return for farm products.
  • To encourage the practice of sustainable agricultural methods in order to make the most efficient use of the natural resources upon which the family farm economy depends.

  • To promote agricultural diversification projects that offers a viable alternative to tobacco.
